Whilst cleverly keeping to the original footprint, as much as possible, Custom Outdoor Living’s Garage design experts in Melbourne took care of all Planning Permits, Council Dispensations and Engineering, and turned the aged structure into a new roller door front garage that offers security, shelter and Council Compliance.

It’s no secret that many shed and garage owners in the ‘hills’ fear change as Council Compliance can be a nightmare to navigate – especially if those structures have been in place for decades. This project was no exception, and it was located close to the property’s main triple-storey weatherboard dwelling that featured a labyrinth of driveway entry configurations to-boot.

The old carport and shed once homed firewood rounds, the household bins, some shabby makeshift walls and an old chimney stack.  Now, after a Custom Outdoor Living interaction, this garage complies to Council regs.  It has sidelight windows, a secure roller door façade, a locked rear-entry door, roof plumbing, ground-level drainage and more – and the owners couldn’t be happier.
